This week I've completed the tools and basic setup that will be used to easily create fur on our eppies. Since there's a lot that can be done with all of this, I've made a few videos demonstrating the functions.
Video 1: An outline of what can be changed within the main control node. These values are added onto the painted values, so they can be changed at any point. This shows
-changing initial angle
-changing clump density
-changing frizz amount
-display density can be lowered here to speed up editing
-random length
-overall length
-ugly render
This clip shows how you can change overall tip and root color, while being able to paint the colors in various spots. It also shows that you must turn visibility off for the 3 exported geos (red nodes)
Painting length, as well as density:
Painting clump location and radius:
This clip shows fur angle zones. Areas can be painted, and then the angle of the fur in that area can be adjusted based on the RGB information. I think this will be faster than the comb tool, which will still be used to touch up some areas.
Basic width adjustment:
Next week I will be adding dynamics to the fur, while Ryan works on look development/actually making an eppie.
