So far this week, Al and I sat down and set a final render resolution that will work with the 2d camera move. I've been working on finalizing and rendering the rocket trails, and the plasma gun fire. I've also been trying to tackle issues with the robot casting shadows on the dust and smoke. We had to export several FBX's to assemble the robot in Houdini so Maya wouldnt crash.
The rockets and the rest of the robot will go over this as a matte object. Previously, the rockets were cut off halfway up their trails.

Here is the plasma rendered at the correct resolution with modified sparks.

To-do list:
-Import new light setup for ground shadow pass
-Fix plasma trail #1 emitting too early.
-Finalize Rockets (randomize more)
-re-time imported FBX's so the bot can cast shadows on the dust
-Export bmw as an FBX to kick up dust as it drives
-create that dust
-Render each element with it's shadow pass
-Paint dirt and scratches textures for bot
